Benjamin Mefford
I am an emerging artist interested in asymmetric balance, material study, and organic geometry. My sculptural works inform my 2-dimensional work, and vice versa. I am motivated to experiment constantly, looking for intersections of order and chaos. Repetition and reflection are often used to help me better understand structural relationships, and to create new ones. Additional themes that I explore include universal symbols, ambiguity of symbolic language, and concepts of time and momentum.
