I like my paintings to have strong color and composition, so the viewer can be drawn into the subject matter. I want my work to be recognizable, both in subject matter and who the artist is that painted the artwork. I feel that when the viewer recognizes the artist that painted the artwork, it is a large accomplishment to have achieved this recognition. My pieces are painted very spontaneously, yet have a photographic image when completed and framed for viewing. I exhibit my work at the Rental Sales Gallery at the Portland Art Museum and the Attic Gallery in Camas, Washington.
