Drea Rose Frost
I have discovered a mystic sense of beauty through my passion for surfing and my visceral attraction to the ocean. Exploring my relationship with the natural world through my art, I draw from my experiences in and around the coastal waters of the Pacific Northwest. I usually begin my artistic process with impressions from nature. Seduced by the complexities of water and the repetition of patterns and geometric forms in the ocean or surrounding areas, I seek to to create a visual representation of these elements. I have discovered a sense of awe and wonder while being immersed in the sea; these are moments that have illuminated me from within and the weight of these ineffable and transcendental experiences drives me to find a language through art in which to articulate and share temporal moments.
