Jennifer Kapnek
My work is sculptural, colorful, light-filled, and appropriate for all ages. I create paintings, freestanding sculpture and public art. I focus on clean simplicity with sharpened intention, and a demand for balance. In the exploration of nature I find intrinsic opportunities to consider growth, equilibrium, impermanence, and seasonality. Three dimensional elements, rough or broken edges, and branches that blend seamlessly into the paintings are constant in my work. My deep appreciation for nature paired with my practiced and creative execution speak a visual language that is inherently inclusive, as the experience of nature crosses cultural, economic and social divisions.
