Elise Azam Mravunac
Elise Azam Mravunac is a painter and multimedia artist born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Their work is informed by lifelong chronic illness and includes humorous depictions of struggle with the self, facial trauma, and uniquely American poverty amid lush historical ornamentation and escapist fantasy. Elise’s work has been exhibited nationally including at the Smithsonian Institute’s Ripley gallery and the Kennedy center in Washington DC.
