Karen Doyle
Karen is an award-winning Impressionist oil painter. She paints luminous, colorful landscapes of her local Oregon surroundings and the places she travels and has lived. Karen grew up in the California Bay Area and now resides in Beaverton, Oregon in the beautiful Tualatin Valley. Her paintings reflect the colorful light of the Pacific Northwest and California. As a colorist, Karen is inspired by the breathtaking beauty of her everyday surroundings. Her oil paintings are filled with juicy color and thick impasto brush strokes. She nurtures two careers: Software Engineering Manager at Nike, and Professional Fine Artist. She is an Associate Member of the American Impressionist Society and the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association. Karen paints to express the intense feelings she gets from looking at everyday beauty – a sunset, the Pacific Ocean, trees in all of the seasons, vineyards, and rolling hills. Sharing her paintings with the local community is very important to Karen. She finds immense joy in painting outdoors en Plein Air as well as creating large abstract landscapes or small still life’s in her dedicated home studio.
