Veronica Reeves
Inspired by dreams, sci fi, and dark ecology, my work depicts shifting, post-dystopian worlds and beings. Meditative drawing, spills, spray paint, brush, and carving the painted surface are techniques I use to highlight the act of making. Saturated colors, neons, iridescents, metallics and mattes, play with the tension between layers and space. Open ended narratives found through a blend of abstraction and representation are my way of inviting viewers to imagine the story details behind my work.
