Although formally trained, I generally work intuitively. I find art making to be a meditative process which allows for freedom in combining disparate materials and mediums, with often surprising results. I employ a layering process in both my mixed medium collage paintings and fiber pieces. My current series of paintings combines various techniques including scraping, sponging, splashing, dripping, sanding and wiping….with very limited use of brushes.
